Fertility and preconception support
For Women:
Acupuncture can be an excellent tool to help manage your fertility. It can help to regulate your cycle, promote ovulation, and thicken the endometrial lining.
We can also support people who have recently stopped using their hormonal birth control and are looking to reestablish a healthy cycle and restore their fertility.
Acupuncture can also provide stress management and emotional support for those thinking about or actively working towards starting a family.
Typical treatment plan
A typical course of treatment for pre-conception support is three months or three cycles, with treatments happening twice per week. Hormonal shifts take time and we only have an opportunity to see changes once each month.
The sliding scale payment system at The Acupuncture Hub makes an intensive course of treatment much more realistic.
IUI and IVF
For patients undergoing IUI or IVF, acupuncture has been proven to increase the chances of a positive outcome.
Typical treatment plan
Ideally we like to see patient before and after their procedures. Our 7 day a week schedule makes this realistic in most cases.
For Men:
Acupuncture can also be a good resource for male fertility support. Treatments can help to manage stress, balance hormones and improve the quality, quantity and motility of sperm.
Typical treatment plan
Consistent treatment is important. Ideally we recommend regular treatment twice a week over a course of three months. Sliding scale payments and the 7 day a week schedule at The Acupuncture Hub help to make this a more accessible option.
Our community style setting also means that people can come in for treatment with their partners, families or friends and have a shared supportive experience. The fertility journey can sometimes be both a joyful and stressful process. Sometimes a little “team spirit” can help things feel more manageable.
The Acupuncture Hub is an LGBTQ+ friendly environment. We recognise that families can take all different shapes and that people of all genders can become pregnant. We strive to provide non-judgmental, compassionate care to any patients seeking support on their journey towards starting a family.
