Elise Greaves, BA, R.Ac

Elise is a licensed acupuncturist registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of British Columbia. She graduated from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver (ICTCMV) and is currently studying botanical medicine and the overlap of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and Western Herbalism. Elise is fascinated with the ways the body can be supported to heal itself with all the modalities of TCM, including acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, tuina, diet, exercise, as well as herbal remedies.

Working at The Acupuncture Hub, Elise strives to approach each patient with empathy and humility, understanding that healing happens best in a supportive, caring environment. In particular, the philosophy of community acupuncture allows for accessible care for patients according to a treatment schedule that suits their specific needs, always appreciating that money should not be an obstacle to better health.

Elise is a member of The Society for Acupuncture Research (SAR) exploring her interest in evidence-based acupuncture, as well as The People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA) and The British Columbia Association of TCM and Acupuncture Practitioners (ATCMA). Elise also holds a diploma in fine arts from the University College of London, UK, and a bachelors degree in art history and anthropology from the University of British Columbia.

With three active children, Elise knows first-hand that finding time to look after oneself doesn’t always make it to the top of the priority list, and does her best to heed her own advice to patients: to remember that our health is ultimately the foundation of our happiness!
